North County Dublin’s Outdoor Preschool

Natural Start is a sessional preschool service based between Swords and Donabate. We are one minute from the M1 motorway (at junction 4 - Donabate) and 6 minutes from Dublin Airport.

In this idyllic rural setting, surrounded by farmland, hedges and trees we provide a service for children availing of the ECCE scheme between the ages of 3 and 6 years old.

Our facilities include a huge outdoor environment with a sand pit, mounds, trees, flower beds, kitchen garden, polytunnel, play kitchens, rockery, dens and a fire pit. We have a fully equipped indoor classroom of 50 square meters.

School hours are 9.15 to 12.45. Viewings are outside school hours and by appointment only.

Natural Start Application Form

This form is for people who would like to apply for a place in Natural Start.

Anyone who is not offered a space will of course be refunded.

By filling in this form you agree to the terms below

Extra 30 mins
Natural Start Runs for an extra 30 minutes per day and for this as well as everything else we charge an extra 135 euro per month. For logistical reasons we absolutely cannot run a class in our environment where half the class are leaving at different times. For this reason Priority is given to those who wish to avail of the extra half hour. It is highly unlikely you will be offered a space if you are not interested in our full service.

Mid year Application procedure
Although it is unlikely we will have any spaces available midyear it is possible and we will accept applications for this reason.

Immerse your child in nature

My Son Noah and daughter Lucy have come on leaps and bounds since they joined the ‘Natural Start’ preschool. Before they joined the preschool they preferred to stay indoors but now they are very keen on getting out in the elements, regardless of the weather. We have noticed that their energy and confidence levels have dramatically improved. We did a lot of research before we sent our children to this preschool and we are very happy to say that everyone of our high expectations have been met. Irene, the lady who runs the preschool is extremely talented at her job. She brings the children out to play in the lovely grounds, teaches them to cook, plays the piano and guitar for them. And so on. Irene’s Husband, Shane, is a gentleman and very friendly and helpful. If you are considering sending your children to this preschool, I strongly recommend that you do so.
